In 1999 - 2000, Erik Carlson and Erica Carpenter completed an extensive photo and text documentation of these former military facilities prior to significant demolition at the site. The project resulted in a multi-media archive and travelling exhibit which premiered at Gallery Agniel and was shown at the Museum of Work and Culture, University of Rhode Island, National Trust for Historic Preservation Conference, and the Rhode Island State Archives, etc. The project is archived at the RI Historical Preservation + Heritage Commission and the RI Historical Society Library.
